Katie's New Front Yard

June 25, 2026•1 min read

Full front yard remodel in Ogden, Utah tying the driveway into a new RV pad extension, a slab stepping-walkway, compacted gravel park strip, and an artificial turf lawn. Work visible in the photos includes rough grading and base prep, poured and jointed concrete panels for the drive/RV pad, fitted retaining wall cap, and finished turf with gravel transitions. This scope improves usable driveway access for an RV, reduces lawn maintenance with synthetic turf, and provides durable, low-maintenance transitions between concrete and landscaped areas through compacted gravel and clean edges.

Rough-graded front yard with the skid steer on site and the driveway area cleared and sloped back to the fence ready for base work.

The project began with removing deteriorated grass and an old patio to prepare for a comprehensive backyard hardscape installation. Excavation was done to fit a swim spa, with a concrete base poured and a brick retaining wall frame completed around the spa area, including integrated drainage.
